Cover Reveal and Q&A - The One With the White Wedding by Erin Lawless

I'm so pleased to be taking part in the Cover Reveal for

The One With the White Wedding by Erin Lawless

so here is the absolutely gorgeous cover.....

Title: The One With the White Wedding
Release Date: 4th November
Available to Pre-order now at Amazon.co.uk

About the Bridesmaids series:

For fans of romantic comedies like Bridesmaids and Four Weddings & a Funeral, and bestselling authors Mhairi McFarlane and Jenny Oliver, this is a hilarious new romantic comedy series of four novellas about one bride and her four best friends.

Nora Dervan is getting married... but her four bridesmaids are more full of secrets than champagne.

Bea has barely gotten past the fact that her two best friends are seeing each other, and now they’re engaged, and Cleo is rather distracted by the hot new colleague she absolutely, definitely must not sleep with. Daisy is dreading the singles’ table, whilst Sarah’s own marriage hasn’t turned out to be all she hoped it would be...

Follow Nora from proposal to altar: The One With The Engagement Party; The One With The Wedding Dress; The One With The Hen Weekend; The One With The White Wedding

Q&A with Erin Lawless

1. Out of the Bridesmaids series can you pick a favourite character?

Strangely, because the story isn't really about her (for all that it's about her wedding!) I do love Nora. It's been really fun to develop a character purely through the eyes of four others, and each of the 'maids feel slightly differently about her. Bea sees her childhood, her sister; Cleo sees her grown up, wine-drinking, life-discussing best friend; Daisy sees the girl who partied through Europe with her; and Sarah sees the friendly face who welcomed her when she was alone. It's precisely that "different things to different people" aspects that make me really love her.

2. Do you share any personality traits with any of your characters?

All my characters in all of my books are inescapably like me in some ways – I can't help the drip feed! Particularly in this book it's Cleo that is perhaps the most like me – the organising "mother" of the group, compiling lists and dishing out advice. Having said that, I have been known to be quite biting if you get on the wrong side of me, and that's where Bea comes in!

3. Do you have a daily writing routine?

Not at all. I work pretty long hours at a law firm, and my weekends are usually absorbed travelling the country to see far-flung friends and family, so writing gets crammed in around the edges of an already over-full life! I carry a notebook around with me 24/7 that gets stuffed with illegible scribbling and grab a few hours here and there to try and get scenes typed up. When I'm really rolling and I'm coming close to deadline I begin to come into work early and write for a few hours before the working day starts. Basically it's real seat-of-my-pants stuff!!

4. What was the last book you read?

I just binge-read the entire Unearthly series by Cynthia Hand in about a week. I wanted some comfort reading and this was basically a more mature Twilight, but with angels instead of vampires.

5. Where is your favourite place in the world?

I went to Croatia a couple of years ago and I just absolutely loved everything about it – the food, the weather, the people. It's the only place I think I'd break my "never the same place twice within ten years" holiday rule.

Thank you Erin for taking part in the Q&A

Author Biography
& Links

You'd probably like Erin Lawless; she's quite nice.

She lives a happy life full of wonderful friends, in love with a man who buys her books instead of flowers. To mix things up a little, she write books where friends and lovers hit obstacles and (usually) overcome them. When she's not doing that she's reading absolutely everything she can get her hands on, spending an inordinate amount of time in pyjamas and running a fun-but-informative blog on British history.
