Heart Note by Cassandra O'Leary @cass_oleary #BlogBlitz #Review @rararesources #Giveaway

I'm delighted to be one of the stops on the blog blitz for Heart Note by Cassandra O'Leary. Today I will be sharing my review and there is also a great giveaway to enter. First of all let's take a look at the description for the book...

Love is like a fine perfume. The top note draws you in, an instant attraction, but the Heart Note is the true essence. Like true love – a great perfume should be a woman’s perfect match.

At least, that’s what perfume counter manager, Lily Lucas, tells her customers in one of Australia’s largest department stores.

It’s almost Christmas, the store is bedecked with baubles and Lily has about eleventy billion gifts to wrap and sell. She and her team of spritzer chicks are glamorous, professional and hoping they don’t have to wear the hideous red onesies and reindeer antlers the store manager has in mind.

The high point of Lily’s work life is Christos Cyriakos, ex-cop, security guard, possible Greek god. He's a mystery box she’d love to unwrap. But can she trust him?

All Lily wants for Christmas is to kiss Christos (and more), catch a band of thieves running amok in the store, and live happily ever after. Is that too much to wish for?

I loved how fun this story was and the way that Cassandra O'Leary put a flirty spin on the story. There was never a dull moment and I was smiling all the way through. As we follow Lily in her new job there is also the sub plot of possible criminal acts taking place which help to up the excitement levels. Of course I can't forget to mention a certain security guard called Christos who definitely helped to raise the temperature too. I loved Christos and Lily's interactions they were playful, flirty and they share a heat inducing chemistry. There are some comical moments especially involving the department store and the crazy ideas that the management come up with such as outfits etc. I also loved how Lily described the perfume it had me chuckling away to myself and to be honest I'm not quite sure how they managed to sell any!

The story is the perfect length to read in an afternoon or the evening which is when I comfortably read it. Sometimes it's just nice to sit down with a shorter read and Heart Note is perfect for that.

A truly light hearted festive story!

Four stars from me!

With thanks to Rachel at Rachel's Random Resources for the invite to join the tour and for my copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.
