The Season for Love by M.W. Arnold @mick859 #BlogTour #Review @rararesources

Thank you for stopping by today as I take part in the blog tour for The Season For Love by M.W. Arnold. I will be sharing my review but first of all let's take a look at the description for the book...

Believing she was responsible for the death of her husband, Chrissie Stewart retreats from all those who love her. A chance meeting with mysterious stranger, single-parent Josh Morgan and his bewitching young daughter Lizzy, breathe new life into her and gradually, she feels able to start to let go of the memory of her lost love. Unexpected links are revealed between the two families that strengthen the growing bonds she feels to this man and with the encouragement of her best friend Annie, herself hiding a hidden conflict from Chrissie, she battles with her demons to believe in her ability to trust and love again. Everything comes to a head on Christmas Day; which all goes to show that this is truly The Season for Love.

If you are looking for a heartwarming story then look no further, the characters of Chrissie, Lizzy and Josh easily captured my heart. There was grief, love and friendship featured in this story all wrapped up in an emotional but uplifting story. The Season for Love also had some lovely little twists that gave the story an added depth.

It's really was heartbreaking to see Chrissie struggling so much and she really is a shell of her former self. I thought the diary entries were a lovely touch and helped to show the relationship that Chrissie shared with her husband. Although you could also see how reliant she had become on sharing her feelings this way. Her friends and family are lovely and made a great addition to the story, I was hoping that Chrissie would realise how much they were there for her.

It didn't take me long to read this story and it was perfect at putting a smile on my face along with providing some emotional moments too. A touch of romance just added to the overall story and I was hoping for a gorgeous happy ending!

A beautiful story about new beginnings and finding the strength to move on with your life.

Four stars!

With thanks to Rachel at Rachel's Random Resources for the invite to join the tour and for my copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Mick is a hopeless romantic who was born in England, and spent fifteen years roaming around the world in the pay of HM Queen Elisabeth II in the Royal Air Force, before putting down roots, and realising how much he missed the travel. This, he’s replaced somewhat with his writing, including reviewing books and writing a regular post at the www.NovelKicks.co.uk blog site.

He’s the proud keeper of a cat bent on world domination, is mad on the music of the Beach Boys and enjoys the theatre and humouring his Manchester United supporting wife. Finally, and most importantly, Mick’s a member of the Romantic Novelists Association, with the forthcoming publication of his debut novel The Season for Love.
