Oh Crumbs by Kathryn Freeman @KathrynFreeman1 #BlogTour @rararesources #Giveaway #Review

Thank you for stopping by I'm delighted to be sharing my review for Oh Crumbs by Kathryn Freeman as part of the blog tour today. There is also a fab giveaway to enter but first of all let's take a look at the description for the book...

Sometimes life just takes the biscuit …

Abby Spencer knows she can come across as an airhead – she talks too much and is a bit of a klutz – but there’s more to her than that. Though she sacrificed her career to help raise her sisters, a job interview at biscuit company Crumbs could finally be her chance to shine. That’s until she hurries in late wearing a shirt covered in rusk crumbs, courtesy of her baby nephew, and trips over her handbag.

Managing director Douglas Faulkner isn’t sure what to make of Abby Spencer with her Bambi eyes, tousled hair and ability to say more in the half-hour interview than he manages in a day. All he knows is she’s a breath of fresh air and could bring a new lease of life to the stale corporate world of Crumbs. To his life too, if he’d let her.

But Doug’s harbouring a secret. He’s not the man she thinks he is.

From the very start I was rooting for Abby after having such a terribly sad thing happen to her I loved her positive and bubbly personality. Then you have Doug who is pretty much Abby's opposite and hiding a few secrets that I couldn't wait to discover. Abby and Doug always managed to make me smile as there was such a fabulous balance of sizzling chemistry and humour as the pair interacted.

I loved Abby's family and even though I felt for her character as she had to shoulder a lot of responsibility her family is so close and this really shines through in the story. Abby says exactly what she thinks which makes for some amusing moments especially when she says "oh crumbs" and I loved seeing Doug's reactions!

Oh Crumbs has endearing characters that will make you smile along with seeing the many sparks that fly when Abby and Doug are together. If you are in the need of a pick me up or a story that will brighten your day then look no further Oh Crumbs will be perfect!

This is a wonderful story about love and family. I enjoyed every moment!

Five stars from me!

With thanks to Rachel at Rachel's Random Resources and Choc Lit for my copy.

A former pharmacist, I’m now a medical writer who also writes romance. Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others it’s the reaction to a hunky hero.

With two teenage boys and a husband who asks every Valentine’s Day whether he has to buy a card (yes, he does), any romance is all in my head. Then again, his unstinting support of my career change proves love isn't always about hearts and flowers - and heroes come in many disguises.
