I had been looking forward to the next book by Laurie Benson ever since I finished her last book and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I absolutely loved the playful and flirty interactions between Andrew and Charlotte. They constantly had me smiling and it was so easy to fall in love with this pairing.
Andrew has some hidden depths that were lovely to see revealed as the story progresses. Charlotte has a past that made me instantly feel for her along with a strength that I couldn't help but admire. In this book we get to meet all three of the Sommersby sisters and after being introduced to them I am both eager and curious to read both Elizabeth and Juliet's stories.
Laurie Benson always creates the most wonderfully romantic and engaging stories it really feels as if you are in a bubble of love, warmth and romance. In this story there is the addition of a historical event that gave the story an extra depth. If this book is anything to go by then The Sommersby Brides series will be truly wonderful!
One Week to Wed is hopeful, beautiful and ever so romantic. I adored this completely charming story!
