I have been looking forward to re-visiting Lavender Bay ever since I finished reading the first book in the series and I wasn't disappointed at all. It was so lovely to catch up with both the characters and the setting in yet another wonderful story!
The opening had me rooting for Eliza and I couldn't wait to see her story play out along with hoping she got her happy ever after. I loved the fact that she began to realise her dreams and make them a reality. Along with seeing her character come to life with a wonderful new found confidence in herself. When Eliza meets Jack you instantly see the sparks between the pair but life is never straight forward and easy. I adored this pair and enjoyed all of their interactions. Jack has an air of sadness about him that made me instantly care about his character. Then add in friendships that will not only make you smile but want to eat pizza too!
I started reading one evening and didn't want to leave this story for a moment. I think I say this every time I read a book by Sarah Bennett but she really does have the ability to create such a warm and emotional story. One that will instantly wrap you up all snug, until the very last page. Wonderfully warm and inviting there are friendships, new beginnings and romance in the air at Lavender Bay all waiting to be discovered. I hate to wish time away but I can't wait to read Libby's story.
