I'm thrilled to be sharing my review on Publication Day for The Mysterious Lord Millcroft by Virginia Heath. First of all though let's take a look at the description for the book...

I'm not quite sure where to start other than to say oh my I absolutely loved this story! To be honest I didn't know if I would get over The Wild Warriners Series finishing but this is such a brilliant start to The King's Elite series.
In this book we meet Clarissa, now if you have read A Warriner To Tempt Her you may remember her as Bella's sister. Now I know there is a connection to the other books but please don't worry as I would easily class this as a standalone. We also meet Seb who I think may just be my new favourite hero! He is a departure from your typical hero but I guess this makes him even more special. As a spy he can blend into the background and is confident in his job however he suffers from severe shyness when in the company of women. Clarissa is bold and at first glance spoilt and very sure of herself but there is so much more to her character and Virginia Heath expertly draws both Clarissa and Seb out. I loved the way that Clarissa and Seb begin a tentative friendship and they really brought out the best of each other along with appreciating each others strengths and weaknesses, it was perfect! Okay I'm going to stop now because I think I could talk about this pair all day!
The Mysterious Lord Millcroft moves at a wonderful pace and has a little bit of everything from a little humour, danger and romance which all combine to make a truly entertaining story. You also get the thrilling addition of spies, treason and surprises along the way. I really can't wait for the next book if this book is anything to go by this series will be stunning!
There are so many wonderful ways to describe this book but I'll go with charming, romantic and a complete joy to read!
A big five stars from me!
With thanks to Virginia Heath and Rachel at Rachel's Random Resources for my copy.
Virginia Heath lives on the outskirts of
London with her understanding husband and two, less understanding, teenagers.
After spending years teaching history, she decided to follow her dream of
writing for Harlequin. Now she spends her days happily writing regency
romances, creating heroes that she falls in love with and heroines who inspire
her. When she isn't doing that, Virginia likes to travel to far off places,
shop for things that she doesn't need or read romances written by other people.
