It has been a while since I have read an historical romance so after reading the description I thought this would be perfect.
Lainie is a strong and likeable character, I loved her fiery personality it came across brilliantly. Especially when Ridley and Lainie first meet. Ridley was a great love interest and I enjoyed seeing them slowly get to know each other. They have sizzling chemistry but will there be a happy ending?
Mum has to have a special mention she is a larger than life character that made this book even more entertaining. It was fun meeting both families and I would love to read their stories.
The story moved at a good pace and at times I didn't want to put the book down. It has a fun and entertaining plot with a great romance at it's heart!
Four stars from me!
Perfect to curl up and spend a few hours immersed in this enjoyable story!
