One Day Like This by Laura Briggs @PaperDollWrites #BlogBlitz @bookouture #Review

I'm thrilled to be taking part in the blog blitz for One Day Like This by Laura Briggs and sharing my review today. First of all though let's take a look at the description for the book...

Could you plan a wedding if you'd never been in love?

Tessa has always dreamed of her own business. And when a beautiful tumbledown house comes up for sale in the Southern town of Bellegrove, she knows it has perfect potential to be an amazing one-stop wedding shop.

Teaming up with three talented friends, they’re ready for big things. They’ve even found their first client – a sweet old lady called Bianca, who’s desperate to give her grandson a spectacular wedding. (Even though he’s equally determined to keep it simple and romantic.)

But as the big day approaches, things start to go wrong. Handsome handyman Blake Ellinghambreaks the news that the building needs re-wiring and the bill for renovations is longer than a royal wedding train. And then one of her friends suddenly quits their fledgling business

Can Tessa pull off the dream wedding? Can Blake be convinced to help? And if the electrics are broken, why are so many sparks flying between him and Tessa?

The perfect feel-good summer romance for 2018 for fans of Debbie Macomber, Jenny Hale and Debbie Johnson.

It's safe to say that I was rooting for this group of characters right from the start, each with a unique skill all coming together to provide a wonderful wedding experience. Even though I never wanted a big wedding myself I still love hearing about all the different weddings that people like. So to see this in a story was lovely as Tessa comes up with the various ideas along with how this trio had to think outside the box a few times in order to solve problems. One Day Like This has a little bit of everything to tempt you from gorgeous dresses to delicious cakes and desserts. I have to be honest it left me wishing I could reach into the book and try them!

I loved the overall feeling of this book from the idea of taking a leap of faith and following your dreams, even if it means the probability of risks along the way! There was also a lovely emotional side to the story as we get to see friendships formed along with meeting a family that will make you smile. With such a light hearted feel to this story that completely put me at ease along with providing some wonderful heart warming and sweet moments. I enjoyed seeing each character blossom in their own way whether it was in confidence or just getting that chance to fulfill their dreams.

You know when you near the end of a story and wish it could carry on well this is exactly what I was feeling when I was reading those last few chapters. I have to admit that I was so happy to see that this wouldn't be the last time I get to meet Tessa and her friends!

Beautiful, sweet and romantic!

Five stars from me!

With thanks to Noelle at Bookouture for my copy.
