The Beedog by Addie Broussard (Illustrated by Joyeeta Neogi) @TwoUmbrellasPls #BlogBlitz @rararesources #Review

Thank you for stopping by I'm delighted to be sharing my review for The Beedog by Addie Broussard as part of the blog blitz today. First of all let's take a look at the description for the book...

An award-winning picture book that will get little ones excited about science.

While building a unique sandcastle, Cora and Manny spot a rather curious insect.

Soon, the little scientists keep a watchful eye on the insect’s movements, while learning about the natural environment along the way.

A great book for STEM education and home-school projects or just curious little ones who love science.

Book extras include fun, printable activities related to science learning and research.

I'm really lucky that I have two little bookworms just like myself so when I got a copy of The Beedog and told them we had a new book to read I had two very happy children. So what did we think...

Well I have to be fair and say that the book is probably more suited to 4+ years as my son who is 5 was a little more interested than my three year old. However she did sit with us and listen to the story and thought it was funny when Manny and Cora were researching The Beedog and found funny pictures of a dog dressed as a bee. The story itself was the perfect length to keep my little ones interested and used words that were easy to understand. The thing I enjoyed the most was how the book made my son not only think but also to ask questions himself. Anything to get children engaged in a book is a hit with me!

The illustrations are colourful and have details that are perfect for children to pick out along with it being shown in a fun way. There is also a section at the back so you can find out some facts about the real "beedog" which my son enjoyed looking through.

Fun and engaging!

Four stars from Rae, Dex & Missy!

With thanks to Rachel at Rachel's Random Resources for my copy.
