The Christmas Wish by Tilly Tennant @TillyTenWriter #BlogTour @bookouture #Review

Thank you for stopping by as I share my review for the wonderful The Christmas Wish by Tilly Tennant as part of the blog tour today. If you get chance why not pop over to the lovely Adele at https://kraftireader.wordpress.com/.

First of all though let's take a look at the description for the book...

Christmas is coming but it doesn’t feel that way for Esme. Jilted by her cheating fiancĂ©e Warren and mourning the death of her beloved grandmother she’s determined not to let life beat her and books a trip to Lapland, on a holiday that her grandmother had always dreamed of taking.

Beneath the indigo skies of Lapland, love is the last thing on Esme’s mind but she can’t ignore a spark with Zach, a broodingly handsome actor, also nursing a broken heart. But when Esme is bombarded by messages from Warren promising he’s changed and she discovers that Zach is hiding something-will her head be turned?

And when a trip to the northern lights reveals the full extent Zach’s own secret past is there any hope that Esme will get the happy ending that her grandmother wished for her?

Well as we are edging closer to Christmas what better way to get into the festive spirit then to read this gorgeous story. Now even though there is a Christmas theme it really isn't overly done so I would say it is more of a winter read. One where you want to get wrapped up warm in a blanket and feel all warm and cosy which this book expertly does.

In The Christmas Wish we follow Esme who finds herself living with her grandmother and trying to get her life back in order after leaving her fiancĂ©. You know how sometimes a character really makes your blood boil well Warren is one of those and I have to admit to wanting to jump in the story and tell him exactly what I thought! I always think this is a true test of how involved you can become in a story, I felt as if I was right there. Esme finds herself travelling to Lapland which for me is where the story really shines!

With any Tilly Tennant book you are guaranteed an uplifting story and this book is another gorgeous example of how engaging and magical her stories can be. Of course there are some emotional moments but these just add so much more to the story. With a wonderful setting that was brought to life making me instantly want to visit along with engaging characters I couldn't ask for much more. It was so fun seeing Esme make friends who all brought something to the story. I also loved seeing Esme slowly but surely finding herself and making decisions without any manipulations or outside influence.

The Christmas Wish is a heartwarming tale with magic and charm on every page!

With thanks to Noelle at Bookouture for my copy via Netgalley.

Tilly Tennant was born in Dorset, the oldest of four children, but now lives in Staffordshire with a family of her own. After years of dismal and disastrous jobs, including paper plate stacking, shop girl, newspaper promotions and waitressing (she never could carry a bowl of soup without spilling a bit), she decided to indulge her passion for the written word by embarking on a degree in English and creative writing. She wrote a novel in 2007 during her first summer break at university and has not stopped writing since. She also works as a freelance fiction editor, and considers herself very lucky that this enables her to read many wonderful books before the rest of the world gets them.

Hopelessly Devoted to Holden Finn was her debut novel; published in 2014 it was an Amazon bestseller in both the UK and Australia. In 2016 she signed to the hugely successful Bookouture and is currently working on her next Tilly Tennant novel. She also writes as Sharon Sant, where she explores the darker side of life, and Poppy Galbraith, where things get a little crazier.
