Christmas at Butterfly Cove by Sarah Bennett #Review @Sarahlou_writes #WeekendBlitz @NeverlandBT

I'm delighted to be sharing my review for Christmas at Butterfly Cove by Sarah Bennett. There is also a fab giveaway to enter but first of all lets take a look at the description for the book...

All she wants for Christmas…

When talented artist Nee Sutherland returns to Butterfly Cove for her sister’s wedding, it’s only a matter of time before she has to face her own bridegroom – Luke Spenser – the man she impulsively married, then left in the middle of the night.

Nee hasn’t picked up her paintbrushes in months, a part of her is broken. She knows Luke might never forgive her, leaving him was the biggest mistake of her life – but could coming home for Christmas be the best decision she’s ever made?

Maybe all she needs is a little Christmas miracle…

A delightfully feel-good festive romance, perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Rachael Lucas and Hilary Boyd.

Now Christmas at Butterfly Cove is part of a series but I would still class it as a standalone story. However you really are missing out on something pretty special if you don't start right at the beginning of this gorgeous series. I can't begin to describe how much I have loved this series from the characters to the storylines. There have been so many moments of love and heartbreak but also joy that just shows the journey that this group of friends and family have been on. From the start of every book I was hoping for their happy ending that they definitely deserved. There are so many positives to not just this story but all three that I can only recommend that you pick them up for yourself to experience it all fully.

I have to admit to feeling a little sad that this was the last story and that's because after reading these wonderful books the characters feel almost like good friends. It was particularly easy to become absorbed into Christmas at Butterfly Cove and that is mainly down to Nee and Luke. There is a sadness to Nee's character that made her so vulnerable along with the added mystery to the reasons behind some of Nee's choices that I was desperate to understand. As the reader you can feel how torn she is and that her emotions are all over the place. I have to say that Luke is pretty perfect and I loved his determined nature. He shares a loving relationship with his brother Aaron, I was always smiling when they were together it felt like such a natural sibling relationship with banter on the surface but love there too. Luke and Nee share a wonderful chemistry that made me hopeful that they could work through their differences and find a way back to each other.

There were moments where I couldn't help myself and I ended up a bit teary eyed. This just shows how well Sarah Bennett has written her characters giving me an emotional attachment to their situations. There are happy moments and sad moments but all perfectly balanced to bring this gorgeous story completely together. If you're like me who tends to be pretty emotional you will find yourself laughing but on occasion a few tears might fall too. There is that special feeling of hope that is perfect for any time of the year not just Christmas.

Guaranteed to melt your heart with beautifully written characters along with a story that will make you sigh with happiness!

With thanks to Jenny at Neverland Blog Tours for my copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Sarah Bennett has been reading for as long as she can remember. Raised in a family of bookworms, her love affair with books of all genres has culminated in the ultimate Happy Ever After – getting to write her own stories to share with others.

Born and raised in a military family, she is happily married to her own Officer (who is sometimes even A Gentleman). Home is wherever he lays his hat, and life has taught them both that the best family is the one you create from friends as well as relatives.

When not reading or writing, Sarah is a devotee of afternoon naps and sailing the high seas, but only on vessels large enough to accommodate a casino and a choice of restaurants.

Sarah is the author of the Butterfly Cove trilogy, published by HQ Digital UK. You can also look forward to a new series coming in 2018, set in the beautiful seaside town of Lavender Bay.
