SYNOPSIS:

She doesn't date players...

Sophie loves her life: she's travelled the world and lived by her own rules. But when she finds out about her grandfather's heart attack, she drops everything and boards a plane to Ireland. Two weeks, that's the plan. Until one look at her childhood nemesis has her rethinking everything. She's sworn off athletes, but she might just give him a try...

He's the biggest player of all.

Sex and rugby. Those were the only two things Declan cared about, right up until his first love waltzed back into his life. Even as he slept his way through Dublin, he never stopped thinking about her. Never stopped wondering if she thought about him, too. So even though he's never gone after a woman the way he chases down opponents on the field, this time, he won't let her get away.

On the field, he's invincible, but she just might break him.

My Review

Declan is a complex character who has flaws but still managed to remain likeable, I loved that he had held a torch for Sophie all that time. I enjoyed getting to know both Declan and Sophie's characters and their interactions were steamy, fiery and red hot! Declan is a womaniser with a past so I could definitely understand why Sophie was reluctant to take a chance with him. However as the book progresses you get to know the real Declan and not the act he puts on.

There is a good mix of both sweet moments and also sparks flying off the page moments too. I thought it was great that you see Sophie and Declan as children and then again when they meet as adults. I enjoyed reading this book from both Sophie and Declan's perspective it's always great to find out exactly how each character is feeling.

The story moves along at a great pace and before long I was hooked even though I am not a big sports fan it made a nice change to read a book centered on sport. It was great to meet Declan's team mates and I can't wait to read their stories too in the Dublin Rugby series.

Overall

Rebecca Norinne has managed to create a good balance of romance, love, friendship and heat!

Four and a half stars from me!

Thank you to Rebecca Norinne and IndieSage PR for my copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.
