I'm delighted to be taking part in the blog tour for Have You Seen The Sleep Fairy by T. K. R and sharing my review. First of all let's take a look at the description for the book...
Have YOU seen the Sleep Fairy? This is the story of a sleep deprived mother and father who are rescued by this shyest of fairies, who only comes out at night when all the children in the home are asleep. She helps children get into the habit of sleeping through by leaving tiny items of interest under their beds for a few days until she can trust them to sleep through on their own. This sweet story is simply told by the author and beautifully bought to life in this new illustrated children’s story. Get your children into the habit of sleeping through by reading The Sleep Fairy to them and applying the idea to your family routine. Here’s to you and a peaceful night’s sleep.

It's safe to say that most parents struggle to get their children to sleep whether they fight it to begin with or maybe they wake in the night and it can be a real problem. I should know my little boy has never been the best sleeper so as soon as I saw this book I thought it would be lovely to read with him. Not just as a bedtime story but also to reinforce the idea of sleeping in his own bed.
The illustrations are different and eye catching with various colours used from light to dark making a lovely contrast when reading. The story length is just right as both my three and five year old were kept entertained throughout the story which was lovely as we could all enjoy it together. The premise was easy to understand and with it being such a simple idea it is definitely worth a try to see if your children respond to the ideas within the story. Now on occasion my little boy still comes through to our room in the night but there has definitely been an improvement since reading this book.
A delightful story, perfect for bedtime!
Five stars from me!
