Moonlight Over Manhattan by Sarah Morgan #Review @SarahMorgan_ @HQstories

She'll risk everything for her own Christmas miracle…
Determined to conquer a lifetime of shyness, Harriet Knight challenges herself to do one thing a day in December that scares her, including celebrating Christmas without her family. But when dog-walker Harriet meets her newest client, exuberant spaniel Madi, she adds an extra challenge to her list – dealing with Madi's temporary dog-sitter, gruff doctor Ethan Black, and their very unexpected chemistry.
Ethan thought he was used to chaos, until he met Madi – how can one tiny dog cause such mayhem? To Ethan, the solution is simple – he will pay Harriet to share his New York apartment and provide 24-hour care. But there's nothing simple about how Harriet makes him feel.
Ethan's kisses make Harriet shine brighter than the stars over moonlit Manhattan. But when his dog-sitting duties are over, and Harriet returns to her own home, will she dare to take the biggest challenge of all – letting Ethan know he has her heart for life, not just for Christmas?

It's safe to say anyone that reads my blog knows that Sarah Morgan is one of my go to authors for heartwarming and romantic books. Sarah Morgan always manages to create fabulous characters and wonderfully romantic stories. So as ever I was delighted to receive a copy of Moonlight Over Manhattan. This book is part of a series however don't worry it can still be read as a standalone. The thing is you really are missing out on a brilliant set of stories and characters so if you get chance I really recommend reading the whole series.

My heart completely went out to Harriet she is such a determined character but also has a vulnerable side too. I really think I appreciated her character more because I'm pretty quiet and shy myself. In a way I could see quite a few personality traits that I shared with Harriet. I loved the fact that she wanted to be more independent and try to do things for herself when in the past she may have let others take over. Ethan was definitely intriguing and even though their second meeting did not go so well and I could have shook him he is easily forgiven. I loved his gentle approach when it came to Harriet and her shyness. If you have ever been shy or even just have a quiet personality he reacts perfectly, making me want to sigh!

A special mention has to go to the lovely dog Madi, helping to bring the two together but will there be a happy ending? I also loved the little catch ups with previous characters and to see how they were getting on. Just like catching up with old friends!

I was pretty much smiling throughout Moonlight Over Manhattan mainly to do with Harriet and Ethan's chemistry. The setting is perfect and creates a lovely magical feel after all who wouldn't want to spend Christmas in Manhattan. It's the type of book where you just want to read it in one go but then feel sad that it's going to end.

Gorgeous & romantic - just what you would expect from Sarah Morgan!

With thanks to Anna at HQ for my copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.
