I'm delighted to be taking part in the blog blitz for A Wedding in Cornwall (Books 7-12) and today I'm sharing a fab Q&A with Laura Briggs. There is also a lovely giveaway to enter but first of all let's take a look at the description for the book...

Hi Laura!

Thank you for taking part in this Q&A, so let's get started…

1 – What three words best describe your personality?
Errr... do I have to? LOL! I’ll be kind to myself and say that I’m quiet, encouraging, and somewhat absent-minded.

2 - Is there a book you wish you could have written?
Not really, because I wouldn’t enjoy reading it as much if I was the one who had written it! But it would be fun to step outside the Romance genre and write a killer (no pun intended) mystery on par with the likes of Agatha Christie.

3 – What was the last book you read?
Jane Austen’s The Watsons. I was getting so caught up in it that I kept forgetting it was one of her unfinished works, so no resolution for the intriguing plotlines she had set in motion. Sigh...

4 – If you were stranded on a desert island what three books would you want with you?
Ooh, this is so hard. Not sure I could really choose, but I’ll go with some of my favourites: Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, Charles Dickens’ Bleak House, and Agatha Christie’s Sleeping Murder.

5 - Do you have any strange writing habits?
I’ve been known to stay up rather late while writing, but that’s more about meeting a deadline than anything else.

6 – Is there a specific place where you write?
Usually in my living room on a comfy loveseat, surrounded by bookshelves and occasionally joined by a cat.

7 – Do you share any personality traits with the characters you have created?
Hmm...not really. I would love to say that I have Julianne’s organizing skills or Matt’s calm demeanour, but I can’t really claim any of my character’s better traits.

8 - Can you choose three words to describe your series A Wedding in Cornwall?
Fun, romantic, escapism.

9 – Are you working on anything now?
I’m working on a new Cornish romance series for 2019. It will feature all-new characters and adventures in a totally different fictional Cornish setting. I can’t wait for readers to learn about the plucky heroine and her exciting quest!

Quick fire questions -
Which do you prefer?

Paperback or eBook?
Paperback, usually. But eBooks are good too!

Classic novel or Contemporary?
Both—I can’t choose!

Cinema or Theatre?
Cinema, although I do love a good play when I get the chance to see it.

Crisps or Chocolate?
Chocolate is very special to me (especially if it has nuts in it).

Tea or Coffee?
Tea! The only kind of coffee I drink comes with lots of chocolate syrup and whipped cream in it, LOL!

Night out or Day out?
Depends on the event, but usually day out.

Thank you again for taking the time to answer the Q&A
x
