The Red Storm by J.D. Fennell @jd_fennell #BlogTour @DomePress #Review

Thank you for stopping by I'm thrilled to be one of the stops on the blog tour for The Red Storm by J.D. Fennell. First of all though let's take a look at the description for the book...

Two years have passed since Will Starling and his co-agent Anna Wilder saved London from VIPER and the Stones of Fire. VIPER have retreated in to the shadows and Will, drafted in to the SOE, has joined forces with the French resistance in the fight against the Nazis. Though he still has not regained his memories, he has not forgotten his pledge to find and rescue his sister. If she is still alive.

When his mission in France is compromised, Will suspects he’s been betrayed. Back in London he hears that VIPER are in league with the Axis powers and are developing a new and deadly weapon. As he and Anna set out to destroy it, their every move is anticipated by their enemies. Who is the mole in the SOE?

As they close in on VIPER’s Swiss headquarters it seems no one can be trusted. They alone top the forces of evil unleashing the Red Storm and bringing mass destruction on a scale even the Nazis haven’t dreamed of.

After reading Sleeper back in May last year I was so pleased to read the sequel Sleeper: The Red Storm so what did I think...

If you are looking for an adventure then look no further this book whisked me away on quite a journey and I enjoyed every moment! It was so good to catch up with both Will and Anna along with seeing what trouble they would find themselves in. The Red Storm is a sequel so it may be wise to read Sleeper just so that you get that all important background information and so you can get a better feel for the characters back stories too. However I do think that you could get along pretty well starting with this one as details are woven into the story which really helps.

There is a brilliant combination of danger, tension and intrigue that makes for a pretty addictive kind of story. The historical side to this book really appealed to me and I think the setting really helps to set this story apart. J.D. Fennell really brings this story to life and I could easily imagine what was taking place, it felt as if I was right there in the middle of things.

With lots of thrilling events, shocking twists and turns my attention was fully focused on the pages of this book, I really couldn't ask for much more! I'm so looking forward to seeing what will happen next, bring on book three!

This book is exciting, tense and has plenty of dangerous situations to entertain the reader.

With thanks to Emily at The Dome Press for my copy and invite to join the tour.
